Desk Manager - Technology Collaboration

Role Overview

This position entails advancing Singapore's defence technological collaborations with assigned foreign countries and agencies, engaging with both governmental and industrial partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate partnerships involving acquisition programs, research and development, and emerging defence technologies with international collaborators.
• Plan and manage domestic and overseas bilateral meetings, official visits, and conferences.
• Monitor and analyze geopolitical, security, and technological trends affecting defence interests.
• Provide informed advice to MINDEF leadership regarding the prospects and implications of defence technology collaborations.

Challenges

• Stay current with rapidly changing geopolitical, security, and technological environments impacting defence cooperation.

Candidate Profile

• Educational background preferably in Science, Engineering, Political Science, International Relations, History, or related disciplines.
• Prior experience in defence acquisition, technology, and systems management is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Possess strong analytical capabilities and effective communication skills to counsel senior leadership.
• Demonstrate aptitude for prioritizing tasks and working efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure setting.
• Open to candidates without prior experience.
