Position Summary

Winjit is seeking a seasoned DevOps Engineer based in Mumbai with more than five years of practical experience. The role involves crafting, implementing, and managing continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, cloud infrastructure, containerized environments, and automation solutions. The candidate should possess strong skills in Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Azure DevOps.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain reliable CI/CD pipelines to support application development and deployment workflows.
• Create and manage CI/CD processes using Jenkins and GitHub Actions platforms.
• Oversee containerized applications with Docker and orchestrate deployments using Kubernetes.
• Configure and maintain workloads within Kubernetes clusters for optimal performance.
• Automate provisioning and configuration of infrastructure via Terraform scripts.
• Utilize Azure DevOps for source control, pipeline creation, release coordination, and team collaboration.
• Apply Infrastructure as Code principles and manage reusable Terraform modules effectively.
• Monitor systems and applications to detect and troubleshoot deployment or runtime issues.
• Enforce security, scalability, availability, and reliability best practices across the DevOps ecosystem.
• Work collaboratively with development, quality assurance, infrastructure, and security teams to enhance software delivery processes.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve deployment efficiency continually.
• Manage version control systems, branching strategies, build mechanisms, and release cycles.
• Diagnose and resolve problems related to CI/CD pipelines, container management, Kubernetes deployments, and infrastructure components.

Qualifications and Skills Required

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in DevOps, Cloud, or Infrastructure Engineering roles.
• Proficiency with Jenkins and/or GitHub Actions for CI/CD pipeline development.
• Strong expertise in Docker containerization technologies.
• Hands-on experience administering Kubernetes clusters and container orchestration.
• Well-versed in Terraform for infrastructure automation and Infrastructure as Code.
• Thorough understanding of CI/CD methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Experience working with Azure DevOps for source control and release management.
• Familiar with Git version control systems and modern branching workflows.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good knowledge of DevOps automation strategies, deployment tactics, and release management.

Desired Additional Skills

• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes administration tools such as Helm.
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging solutions.
• Ability to script in Shell/Bash or Python.
• Understanding of cloud security models and DevSecOps practices.
• Exposure to Agile or Scrum methodologies.

Educational Background

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or similar technical discipline. Relevant certifications in DevOps or Cloud technologies are beneficial.
