Dishwasher / Utility Worker

Position Summary and Schedule

This role is pivotal to the team, focusing on washing kitchenware, assisting in the dish area, and maintaining cleanliness and orderliness throughout the shift. The shift timing is from 11:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Attendance during scheduled times is crucial for smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash pots, utensils, and other kitchen items thoroughly and assist in the dish room.
• Restock items and organize them properly in the designated storage areas.
• Sweep, mop, and clean assigned areas regularly as directed.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff such as Early Cook, Baker, and Cooks to manage special needs and stock requirements.
• Ensure continuous sanitation and maintenance of snack bar and dining spaces.
• Handle trash removal and maintain garbage cans appropriately.
• Assist in cleanup and restocking at shift end, supporting the dish room when needed.
• Follow personal hygiene, grooming, and uniform standards consistently.
• Perform all duties with a focus on safety.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement is 16 years.
• High school diploma is preferred but not mandatory.
• Previous dishwashing experience is preferred, especially in hospitals or extended care settings, but not required.
