Key Responsibilities

• Manage the movement of all freight loads assigned to the specific region.
• Ensure regional profitability by selecting carriers based on service quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Communicate directly with the customer service team to coordinate shipments.
• Identify and address capacity shortages within the region.
• Approve shipments moving above target rates, working closely with customer service.
• Assign carriers to shipments considering delivery schedules.
• Confirm shipment pickups and deliveries with appropriate parties.
• Coordinate scheduling for dock shipments.
• Recommend improvements for tender rules and system functionalities.
• Negotiate carrier rates to meet or go below target cost thresholds.
• Guarantee all expected daily loads are fully covered for shipping.
• Complete load movement, margin, and service failure reports.
• Perform additional tasks as required by supervisors or business demands.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills

• Associate degree or equivalent level from a two-year technical school or college preferred.
• Between six months to one year of relevant experience or an equivalent blend of education and work experience.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel applications.
• Capability to work a flexible schedule as business needs demand.
• Strong team collaboration skills with an ability to multitask and prioritize workload efficiently.
