Role overview
The electrician will be responsible for installing, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems, automation equipment, and heavy industrial machinery. Experience and qualification
This role requires at least 3 years of relevant work experience in an industrial electrician position, preferably in a manufacturing or plant environment. Candidates should hold an ITI or Diploma in Electrician, or an equivalent course or degree.
Compensation
The offered CTC is 3.5 LPA, which works out to about INR 29,000 per month.
Technical and soft skills
The ideal candidate should have practical exposure to PLCs, VFDs, and three-phase electrical systems. The job also calls for the physical ability to lift heavy materials, climb ladders, and operate in confined or otherwise challenging work areas. Strong analytical thinking, accuracy, and teamwork are important for success in this position.
Key responsibilities
The electrician will handle fault tracing and repair work using testing tools such as ammeters, voltmeters, and meggers. Duties also include replacing or fixing damaged wiring, motors, drives, and control systems. In addition, the role involves scheduled preventive maintenance of transformers, circuit breakers, switchgears, and automated production machinery, as well as installing and wiring new manufacturing equipment, control panels, and automation systems. The candidate must also read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, and blueprints, while following electrical safety standards and site procedures such as lockout/tagout.
Safety and compliance
Work must follow applicable electrical safety practices and company protocols, including standards comparable to OSHA and NEC requirements, along with lockout/tagout discipline.
