The Events Supervisor oversees the day-to-day coordination of entertainment and logistics for a range of assigned events, including venue rentals and regular programs. This role leads staff, checks work quality, and makes sure operations follow city policies, procedures, customer service standards, and professional expectations. Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in business, marketing, communications, psychology, sociology, theatre/fine art, public relations, education, or a closely related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in event or program planning.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory or lead-level experience.
  • Education and experience that meet the minimum requirements may be considered on a year-for-year basis.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish ability is preferred.
  • Must have a valid New Mexico Driver’s License, or be able to obtain one within 90 days of hire.
  • Must obtain a City Operator’s Permit (COP) within 6 months of hire.

Working Conditions

This is an office-and-field position that involves travel between sites and occasional exposure to bad weather. The schedule may include odd shifts, weekends, and holidays. The role also requires extended periods of walking, standing, and sitting, as well as lifting up to 50 lbs.
