Role Overview

We seek a proactive and detail-focused Export Operator based in Auckland, New Zealand. This role involves managing export shipments, coordinating with customers and international partners, and ensuring operational excellence and high customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage release and amendment of shipping documents as required.
• Maintain complete shipment documentation in the Flow system.
• Ensure compliance with New Zealand export regulations and destination country rules.
• Arrange bookings for various shipment types including FCL, LCL, consolidation, and airfreight.
• Coordinate with NZ Customs, MPI, Chambers of Commerce, and other relevant authorities.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes impacting exports and escalate compliance issues to management promptly.
• Organize transport pickups from customers, wineries, warehouses, and suppliers.
• Oversee warehouse receipts, container packing, and cargo handling to meet shipment schedules.
• Collaborate with pack houses, depots, and transport providers to confirm cargo readiness and shipment timing.
• Accept full financial accountability for the shipment files assigned.

Candidate Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of international freight forwarding and export operations.
• Experience with sea and air freight operations.
• Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
• High attention to detail with accurate documentation management.
• Familiarity with Cargowise/Flow systems is advantageous.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
• Commercial awareness and experience handling financial shipment files.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
