Finance Manager

About the Role

We are looking to appoint a seasoned and commercially savvy Finance Manager to lead the financial operations at a prominent Trading & Contracting company based in Doha, Qatar. The chosen candidate will be integral to financial planning, reporting, budgeting, project cost analysis, and enhancing overall business performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all finance and accounting activities within the organization.
• Direct the processes of budgeting, forecasting, cash flow control, and financial planning.
• Compile and deliver financial statements monthly, quarterly, and annually.
• Track project costs, profitability, and financial outcomes across various projects.
• Establish and uphold stringent financial controls and compliance frameworks.
• Ensure adherence to local laws, accounting standards, and audit requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies.
• Provide strategic financial analyses and insights to the senior management team.
• Champion process enhancements and digital transformation within the finance department.
• Utilize ERP systems along with SAP SuccessFactors for operational and financial reporting needs.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, ACCA, or CA are preferable.
• 8 to 12 years of finance experience with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial capacity.
• Essential experience in Trading & Contracting and/or the Construction sector.
• Strong expertise in project accounting, contract management, financial controls, and cost accounting.
• Practical experience with SAP SuccessFactors and ERP platforms.
• Exceptional analytical abilities, leadership qualities, and skill in stakeholder engagement.
• Preferably has worked within the GCC region, especially Qatar.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Currently employed in Trading & Contracting or Construction industries.
• Proven track record managing financial activities for project-centric businesses.
• Deep understanding of construction finance, project costing, and commercial reporting.
• Experience contributing towards business expansion and operational effectiveness.
