General Labourer

Position Overview

Masonry Group is seeking dedicated full-time general labourers to join their crew in Toronto, Ontario. The role involves supporting masonry work with various physical tasks and collaborating with skilled tradespeople to maintain efficient project progress.

Key Responsibilities

• Clear construction sites by removing rubble and debris.
• Prepare and apply masonry mixtures including mixing, pouring, and spreading.
• Transport heavy materials such as bricks and stones to assist bricklayers.
• Load, unload, and handle various construction supplies on site.
• Work in close communication with bricklayers and masons to ensure smooth operations.

Candidate Requirements

• Ability to lift heavy objects and endure extended work hours.
• Willingness to wear safety equipment including hard hats and safety boots.

Training Opportunities

• Certification for working at heights.
• WHMIS safety training (preferred).
• Health and Safety Awareness (4-Step approach).

Additional Details

• Placement in crews located near candidate's residence to minimize commute; transportation assistance may be provided.

• Standard hours are 45 per week - 7 AM to 5 PM with optional Saturdays.
