Position Overview
We are seeking a Global Commodity Manager specializing in Electronics to join a leading manufacturing company based in Munich, Germany. This pivotal role encompasses strategic procurement responsibilities on a global scale, with the objective of shaping and executing sourcing strategies across the entire enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
- Take charge of the global Electronics sourcing portfolio by developing supplier strategies, commercial directions, and risk mitigation plans across essential technologies and supplier markets.
- Procure a broad range of electronic components, including PCBA assemblies, semiconductors, connectors, switches, capacitors, inductors, and resistors.
- Create and maintain robust supplier networks that boost supply chain resilience, competitive advantage, and foster innovation, leveraging market intelligence to foresee supply risks and technology changes.
- Collaborate closely with various business units to harmonize technical, operational, and commercial needs.
- Drive value generation through supplier partnerships and sourcing initiatives, enhance commercial contracts, elevate supplier performance, and ensure uninterrupted supply continuity.
- Continuously monitor market trends and category results to optimize costs, mitigate risks, and support growth plans.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in strategic procurement of electronic components, including PCBA's, semiconductors, connectors, switches, capacitors, inductors, and resistors.
- Prior experience collaborating with Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) suppliers.
- Educational background in engineering, supply chain management, business, or related technical fields.
- Proven track record in guiding category strategies within complex, global matrix organizations and effectively influencing cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Additional Information
- Competitive salary range from €80,000 to €100,000 per year.
- Flexible work arrangement offering a combination of in-office and home-office; location primarily Munich with required travel to the office as needed.
- Fluency in English is mandatory.
