Overview
This remote role is for a Go Developer specializing in artificial intelligence and machine learning, based in Germany, offered through a partner company handling recruitment. It presents the chance to create cutting-edge cloud-based AI and ML solutions within a diverse international engineering setup.
As part of this role, you will develop scalable platforms enabling businesses and developers to harness sophisticated cloud technologies. The position merges expertise in Go programming, ML infrastructure, Kubernetes, and cloud-native engineering, focusing on products that enhance deployment, management, and scaling of AI/ML workloads.
Working closely with expert engineers and cross-disciplinary teams, you'll help design robust, high-performance systems. This is an excellent opportunity for developers passionate about AI, distributed systems, and next-generation cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Write and maintain efficient, scalable Go code for ML components integrated with cloud platforms.
- Design, optimize, and ensure reliability of AI/ML services.
- Apply concurrency techniques like goroutines and channels to boost application performance.
- Build, test, and enhance software following modern engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with product owners, designers, and engineers to convert requirements into technical implementations.
- Improve codebases through refactoring, documentation, and optimization aligned with best practices.
- Conduct and participate in code reviews providing constructive feedback.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges in distributed cloud environments.
- Keep updated with developments in Go language, libraries, frameworks, and related technologies.
- Contribute to evolving AI/ML platforms and new product developments.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related domain, or equivalent experience.
- At least 4 years of professional software development experience; strong proficiency in Go is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience deploying machine learning solutions into production.
- Competence in developing Kubernetes Operators.
- Solid understanding of API design and RESTful principles.
- Ability to produce clear technical documentation and communicate effectively within engineering teams.
- Experience working asynchronously with Agile software teams is advantageous.
- Skills in building and training ML models are highly desirable.
- Knowledge of WebSockets, microservices, and distributed system architectures is beneficial.
- At least 2 years of experience with Python or R is considered a plus.
- Familiarity with web frameworks such as Gorilla, Gin, or Echo adds value.
- Previous experience in fully remote organizations is preferred.
