Role Overview

This position focuses on exceptional retouching of professional headshots derived from mobile phone pictures. The retoucher must maintain natural and realistic results while addressing lighting, skin texture, and batch consistency in line with established production protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Retouch professional headshots to achieve a natural, realistic appearance without over-processing.
• Adjust skin tone and eliminate noise, exposure problems, uneven lighting, and soft focus.
• Remove or reduce glasses glare while preserving authenticity.
• Execute background changes and composites that blend seamlessly and appear credible.
• Ensure uniform quality throughout large image batches.
• Meet deadlines and daily or weekly production targets.
• Follow retouching guidelines and quality standards diligently.
• Incorporate feedback effectively and promptly.
• Communicate proactively if any issues impact quality or schedules.

Technical Skills and Requirements

• Expertise in natural skin retouching maintaining genuine texture and avoiding artificial looks.
• Proficient in precise hair masking and clean edges without halos.
• Skilled in realistic background compositing and color correction under varied lighting.
• Experienced in non-destructive editing workflows using adjustment layers, masks, and smart objects in Adobe Photoshop.
• Excellent time management and ability to produce consistent work at scale.

Hardware and Software Requirements

• Use of a graphics tablet such as Wacom, Huion, XP-Pen, or equivalent.
• Valid Adobe Photoshop subscription—no unauthorized software.
• High-quality laptop or desktop display, i.e., MacBook Pro Retina or an equivalent PC.
• Monitor calibrated to sRGB standards; support for DCI-P3 is advantageous.

Compensation and Workload

• Pay rate of $5 USD per image retouched.
• Expected volume post-trial is at least 100 images per month with possibilities for higher production.
• Reference earnings approximately $2,000 monthly, based on 20 retouched images daily over 20 working days.

• Successful candidates from the test will be called for an interview.
• Consistent and ongoing work is available for outstanding performers.
