Infrastructure Support Analyst

Overview

Join Scotiabank's Global Technology Enterprise Platform (GTEP) in the Global Network Engineering (GNE) team dedicated to delivering a seamless, reliable, and secure voice and data network worldwide under the philosophy “One Network, One Bank.” This team prioritizes providing connectivity solutions for the Bank’s data centres, campuses, and branches across Canada, the US, and Asia-Pacific, with extended initiatives covering regions like Mexico and the Caribbean.

Primary Responsibilities

• Contribute as a key member of a significant technology deployment project focusing on Voice & Network, WAN technologies within the Canadian network.
• Participate actively in execution meetings coordinating changes with a variety of technical teams.
• Develop, configure, and implement network configurations during deployment phases.
• Perform status reporting and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
• Communicate effectively with both technical colleagues and business stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.
• Collaborate closely with external vendors leveraging strong interpersonal skills.

Required Experience and Expertise

• Minimum of 5 years hands-on technical experience supporting, deploying, and interconnecting diverse enterprise-scale network technologies, including LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, Wi-Fi, and WAN optimization.
• Practical knowledge of networking operation systems such as Cisco, Aruba, Silverpeak, Juniper Screen OS, and FortiOS.
• Technical understanding of IP-enabled voice networking, VOIP network design, and VOIP integrations.
• Familiarity with DNS, DHCP, IPAM, and additional IP service management.
• Ability to analyze complex technical challenges, conduct research using multiple sources, and deliver innovative solutions.
• Capable of collaborating within teams and independently managing tasks with minimal supervision.
• Strong time management and organizational skills for overseeing large-scale projects efficiently.

Educational and Certification Requirements

Post-secondary education in computer science, computer engineering, or a closely related technical discipline is essential. Possession of Cisco certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE is considered a significant advantage.
