Intern, Project Development Analyst

Role Overview

As a Project Development Analyst intern, you will assist the Head of Project and Bid Development, APAC, in supporting business growth by developing and securing significant projects across the APAC region. This position involves engaging in bid management, proposal creation, and risk assessment for major projects, offering valuable experience related to the bidding process, large-scale deal development, and emerging industry opportunities such as sustainability and data centers.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize business insight and analytical expertise to generate actionable recommendations aimed at enhancing operational effectiveness.
• Evaluate existing workflows to identify and propose improvements in the Bid Management Process.
• Gather, maintain, and analyze the APAC major projects opportunities database for bid management using PowerBI, ensuring data completeness and accuracy to provide transparency on progress, risks, escalations, and opportunities.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary bid teams—including sales, commercial, engineering, project operations, services, and procurement—to ensure submitted materials meet Johnson Controls' quality and standards.
• Coordinate with bid leads and cross-functional teams to manage bid documentation, proposal preparation, and governance ahead of submissions.

Candidate Profile

• Currently enrolled in a master's or bachelor's program focusing on business, engineering, data science, or analytics.
• Familiarity with and interest in Microsoft Power Platforms such as PowerBI and PowerAutomate.
• Strong enthusiasm for business processes, program and risk management, and problem-solving challenges.
• Excellent critical thinking and analytical problem-solving abilities.
• A proactive learning mindset geared toward building business knowledge and understanding organizational complexities.
