About the Role
Operations form the core of Amazon’s business, known for speed, precision, and outstanding service globally. Amazon's facilities dispatch tens of thousands of products daily across hundreds of countries. The Operations Technology Services (OTS) team plays a crucial role by providing ongoing global IT support to Amazon Operations.
As an IT Support Engineer I, you will leverage your technical knowledge and expertise to implement solutions and offer exceptional support for computer hardware, operating systems, and enterprise software within a specific geographic area. You will also resolve straightforward issues without predefined standard operating procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee local technical projects and initiatives.
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and operational processes.
- Diagnose root causes of operational challenges and inefficiencies.
- Provide remote support to global customers.
- Be prepared to travel within local or regional areas based on business requirements to assist customers.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience with Windows Server technologies including Active Directory, DFS, Print Services, and SCCM.
- At least 2 years in troubleshooting multi-user high availability environments.
- 2+ years of PC repair, troubleshooting, deployment, and asset liquidation experience.
- 1+ years delivering IT client, server, and network services.
- 2+ years networking experience covering DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI Model, and TCP/IP.
- 2+ years supporting Windows, Mac, or Linux operating systems in corporate environments.
- 2+ years managing corporate network support and maintenance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Over 2 years of computer networking experience.
- Experience supporting video conferencing and teleconferencing hardware.
