Junior Structural Engineer

About the Role

We seek a motivated Junior Structural Engineer to join our expanding team in Thiruvananthapuram. This position primarily involves evaluating structural drawings, analyzing residential and commercial building plans, and aiding teams responsible for drafting and sketching with structural details and framing concepts. The role offers an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career engineers to gain hands-on experience with US-based construction documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine architectural and structural blueprints carefully
• Interpret framing plans, elevations, building sections, and construction details accurately
• Collaborate closely with sketching and quality assurance teams
• Help prepare structural markups and maintain detailed project documentation
• Ensure the precision and quality of project deliverables
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and clients when necessary

Qualifications and Skills

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Fundamental knowledge of residential and commercial construction principles
• Understanding of structural concepts and framing methodologies
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Basic computer skills

Preferred Competencies

• Familiarity with AutoCAD or equivalent drafting tools
• Knowledge of US construction codes and standards

Additional Information

This is a full-time role based in Thiruvananthapuram, requiring presence at the office during the shift hours, which may include night shifts depending on client needs. Salary will be contingent upon skills, experience, and performance during the training and evaluation period. Candidates with fresh or up to two years of experience are encouraged to apply.
