Role Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Land Surveyor based in Qatar to join our team. This role involves conducting accurate land surveys essential for construction and infrastructure projects, ensuring project layouts align with all design and quality standards.

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct field surveys such as topographic, boundary, and construction staking according to project specifications.
• Implement construction layout based on approved drawings and technical requirements.
• Handle and maintain surveying instruments including Total Stations, GPS equipment, levels, and data collectors.
• Accurately capture and process field data to support engineering and construction operations.
• Support Senior Land Surveyor in confirming site measurements, levels, and structural alignments.
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and site managers to ensure data facilitates progress and precision.
• Prepare comprehensive sketches, survey reports, and notes for records and documentation.
• Detect and communicate any field inconsistencies or issues to supervisors promptly.
• Follow all safety protocols and company guidelines during fieldwork activities.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Diploma in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or equivalent from an accredited institution, pending engineer approval.
• At least 8 years’ experience in land surveying, with emphasis on infrastructure and civil projects.
• Competent in operating current survey tools and software such as Total Stations, GPS devices, and AutoCAD.
• Solid knowledge of engineering drawings, construction plans, and specification comprehension.
• Capable of working independently or collaboratively in dynamic construction settings.
• Excellent organizational abilities and thorough documentation skills.
• Proficient English communication skills, both verbal and written.

Preferred Experience and Additional Skills

• Experience with large-scale infrastructure developments like roads, utilities, and drainage systems.
• Familiarity with local surveying laws and practices in the Gulf region.
• Knowledge of Arabic language considered a plus.
• Experience with GIS technologies and integrating survey data.
• Strong prioritization skills with the ability to meet deadlines in high-pressure environments.
