About The Role
The Lead Fulfillment Associate plays a key role in supporting operations at Amazon's fulfillment centers. Responsibilities include overseeing daily tasks such as picking, packing, receiving, stowing, and shipping products while ensuring inventory accuracy and managing logistics. This role demands leadership on the floor, effective communication, team motivation, and strict adherence to safety standards. It offers a chance to directly influence operational excellence and customer satisfaction. Eligible candidates may receive a $10,000 pre-tax launch bonus, subject to criteria and repayment conditions.
Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year experience with Microsoft Office applications; two or more years preferred.
- Must be 18 years or older and authorized to work in the U.S.
- Able to work 40 hours weekly including overtime, night shifts, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
- Physical ability to lift up to 49 pounds and stand or walk for up to 12 hours.
- Capability to perform repetitive movements such as pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching.
- Experience thriving in dynamic, fast-paced operational settings is advantageous.
- Strong leadership, communication skills, and dedication to maintaining safety and quality.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily fulfillment center operations ensuring efficient and safe attainment of production goals.
- Clearly communicate tasks and expectations, cultivating a positive workplace.
- Motivate team members to meet performance targets without compromising safety.
- Manage pick, pack, receive, stow, and shipping processes to maintain accuracy and timeliness.
- Conduct inventory monitoring and regular audits to uphold accuracy.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics with carriers and dock teams.
- Support staff training by mentoring new hires and cross-training current personnel.
- Ensure strict compliance with all safety and operational procedures.
- Address operational issues and escalations promptly to minimize workflow disruptions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts focused on workflow and efficiency.
Additional Information
Team members in related roles such as Trainer, Process Assistant, Dock Clerk, Shipping Clerk, Non-Inventory Receiver, and Data Analyst collaborate within the fulfillment center to meet operational demands.
