Role Summary
The Logistics Manager will oversee at least one major customer account, managing all aspects of shipment coordination. This role requires a proactive mindset to identify and solve logistics challenges, leadership skills to direct team members, and strong communication with customers to ensure outstanding service delivery. Key Responsibilities
- Cultivate robust relationships with customers and the primary carriers supporting assigned accounts.
- Collaborate closely with Account Managers to exceed client expectations consistently.
- Lead and encourage team members to maintain high levels of performance.
- Ensure all shipments for designated accounts are successfully transported and resolve escalated operational problems.
- Leverage the Transportation Management System (TMS) for effective freight lifecycle management, maintaining precise and complete data.
- Negotiate carrier contracts and establish strong partnerships with transportation providers.
- Handle escalated issues such as claims and breakdowns promptly.
- Analyze trends related to shippers, receivers, and carriers and propose improvements.
- Support team growth by providing training, assigning tasks, tracking progress, setting goals, offering guidance, motivation, and corrective feedback.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum one year of experience in transportation or logistics combined with a high school diploma or GED.
- At least one year of experience managing customer accounts.
- One year of supervisory experience in a related setting.
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, transportation, or related areas is preferred but not mandatory.
- Proficient in MS Office 365 applications including Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
- Experienced with industry platforms such as TruckStop, DAT, Highway, and Carrier 411.
- Familiar with Transportation Management Systems.

Additional Information
The position is full-time, operating Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, located onsite in Raleigh, North Carolina.
