Machine Learning Engineer (m/w/d)

Doopic is a Berlin-based company focused on product image editing and post-production. With a strong emphasis on modern workflows, automation, and AI, the team helps e-commerce businesses, photo studios, and similar clients handle the repetitive parts of image editing while also delivering additional graphic services and strong customer support.

The company is looking for an AI Media Engineer (m/w/d) to join its office at Kurfürstendamm in Berlin at the earliest possible date.

Applicants must live in Berlin.

Responsibilities

• Design, train, and improve machine learning models for computer vision and generative AI, such as diffusion methods, segmentation, and image processing.
• Embed ML models into existing production workflows and ensure processes remain reliable and scalable in day-to-day use.
• Contribute to automating image editing workflows and reduce manual effort through innovative solutions.
• Evaluate model performance, spot weaknesses, and continuously improve quality and robustness.
• Work closely with product development, engineering, and operations to implement practical ML solutions.
• Review emerging AI technologies and approaches and translate useful ideas into real-world use quickly.

Requirements

• Several years of hands-on experience in machine learning and computer vision.
• Strong analytical thinking, a practical mindset, and a hands-on working style.
• Good Python skills, including familiarity with frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Practical experience with generative models such as diffusion models and GANs.
• Understanding of production-ready ML systems, including deployment, scaling, and performance considerations.
• Experience with production-oriented tools and workflows such as Docker and AWS/Azure.
• Experience with creative AI workflows and tools such as ComfyUI or Photoshop.
• Experience in product photography and e-commerce is an advantage.
• Strong German and English language skills.
