Role Overview

We are looking for a proficient and driven Maintenance Technician to manage maintenance responsibilities at the Eyre Square Hotel and Victoria Hotel. This role is vital in ensuring smooth, effective, and safe hotel operations for staff and guests. The position involves working with diverse equipment, building systems, and areas, handling both preventive and reactive maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle daily maintenance requests from hotel guests and departments promptly.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive upkeep across bedrooms, public spaces, kitchens, and plant rooms.
• Identify and fix issues involving electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general building repairs.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety, fire safety regulations, and company policies.
• Contribute to larger projects and refurbishment activities as required.
• React quickly to urgent matters to reduce downtime and disruption.

Skills and Experience Required

• Proven experience in maintenance work or building services, preferably in the hotel sector though not mandatory.
• Technical expertise in at least one area such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, or general repairs.
• Ability to independently manage and prioritize tasks amid a busy work setting.
• Adaptable and proactive with a practical, hands-on approach.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Good communication abilities and teamwork orientation.
• Knowledgeable about health, safety, and fire safety requirements.
