Role Overview

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will focus on driving advancements in the making of electronic circuit cards and the mechanical assembly of motion controllers. Responsibilities include leading continuous improvement efforts to uplift product quality, capability, and cost efficiency. You will also be responsible for specifying, approving, and implementing new manufacturing equipment on time and within budget.

Working closely with both local and corporate design groups, you will provide design-for-manufacturing expertise. Leading new product introductions will be a key part of the role, involving cost estimation, development of assembly processes, and creation of standard operating procedures.

You will ensure all manufacturing processes comply with quality standards, throughput targets, cost constraints, and environmental, health, and safety requirements. Additionally, applying Lean manufacturing principles to identify and introduce process improvements will be crucial. Providing support for production using SMT, PTH, selective soldering, cleaning, coating, and automated mechanical assembly tools will be expected. You will also be responsible for staff training on process and equipment operation as well as designing safe product handling methods.
