Role Overview

The Operations Executive will facilitate PCTC and Ro-Ro vessel activities by managing shipment coordination, preparing necessary operational paperwork, tracking cargo flow, and ensuring seamless communication among ports, agents, and internal teams. Primary Responsibilities

  • Support the management of PCTC and Ro-Ro voyages and daily vessel functions.
  • Oversee vessel schedules, cargo preparation status, and operation timelines.
  • Compile, verify, and maintain key operational documents such as manifests, cargo lists, Bills of Lading, Statements of Facts, and operational reports.
  • Liaise with ports, terminals, shipping agents, service providers, and internal departments to ensure efficient operations.
  • Monitor shipment progress and deliver operational updates to relevant stakeholders promptly.
  • Identify and escalate operational challenges for swift resolution.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, maritime regulations, and safety standards.
  • Procure competitive quotes from port agents and service providers supporting cost-effective voyage planning.
  • Assist in tracking voyage-related expenses and prepare comparative cost and performance reporting.
  • Keep port tariff databases current, including charges, agency fees, stevedoring, and other operational expenses.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts aimed at boosting operational efficiency and service quality.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Maritime Transportation, Logistics, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
  • Prior experience in shipping, maritime operations, port agency, or logistics preferred.
  • Familiarity with PCTC/Ro-Ro vessel operations and shipping documentation is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Bills of Lading, cargo manifests, Statements of Facts, and vessel procedures.
  • Strong organizational and planning aptitude with high attention to detail.
  • Capability to juggle multiple priorities and perform under pressure.
  • Effective communication and coordination skills.
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office software applications.
