About the Role

We are searching for a seasoned Oracle Database Administrator with 5 to 10 years of professional experience to oversee, maintain, and fine-tune Oracle database systems. This role is based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, with an onsite contract arrangement. The successful candidate will be proficient in administration, performance optimization, backup and recovery, high availability configurations, and securing Oracle databases.

Key Duties

  • Install, configure, upgrade, and apply patches to Oracle Databases including versions 11g, 12c, 19c, and 21c.
  • Handle core database administrative tasks such as creation, migration, cloning, and routine maintenance.
  • Continuously monitor database health, ensure optimal performance, and maximize availability.
  • Use tools like AWR, ASH, ADDM, SQL Trace, and execution plans for tuning database performance.
  • Set up and manage Oracle Data Guard to guarantee disaster recovery readiness.
  • Administer Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) environments.
  • Develop and execute RMAN-based backup and recovery strategies.
  • Resolve database-related challenges including performance bottlenecks, locking issues, deadlocks, storage problems, and connectivity faults.
