Private Equity Associate

Role overview

A private equity firm is looking to strengthen its investment team with an Associate. In this role, you will help assess prospective deals, carry out financial analysis and diligence, contribute to transaction execution, and work alongside portfolio companies. The position provides broad exposure to the full investment process across multiple industries.

What you'll do

• Review and help drive investment opportunities spanning different sectors.
• Develop robust financial models, including leveraged buyout models, operating models, and return analyses, to inform investment decisions.
• Lead or support commercial, financial, and operational diligence, with research into markets and competitive landscapes.
• Assist with deal structuring and negotiations during transaction execution.
• Partner with portfolio businesses on performance monitoring, strategic projects, and value-creation initiatives.
• Draft investment memoranda and communicate analysis and recommendations to senior leadership and the investment committee.

Candidate profile

• 2 to 4 years of experience in investment banking or on the buy side.
• Well-developed financial modeling and analytical capabilities.
• Clear interest in technology investments and private markets.
• Hands-on experience supporting live transactions and coordinating diligence workstreams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to thrive in a high-paced setting.
• A bachelor's degree with strong academic results is required.
