Process Engineer

Role overview

ISS International SpA is hiring a Process Engineer for its project work in Qatar. The role supports process engineering activities on an assigned project and reports to the Lead Process Engineer.

Core responsibilities

The engineer will work on process engineering tasks for the project under the guidance of the Lead Process Engineer, staying aligned with the agreed scope and coordinating closely with other project stakeholders.

• Support process engineering execution on the assigned project as directed by the Lead Process Engineer.
• Bring 10 to 15 years of experience in oil and gas, preferably with offshore wellhead or process platform exposure.
• Apply sound knowledge of process engineering design and related documents, including process descriptions, process data sheets, PFDs and P&IDs.
• Perform process simulation work using Hysys or Unisim and calculate flare loads using Aspen Flarenet.
• Develop a strong understanding of the project scope, track changes to scope, and raise change notifications when required.
• Coordinate with PMT and other discipline engineers as instructed by the Lead Engineer.
• Prepare or review key project deliverables, subject to project scope requirements.
• Produce process simulations and heat and material balance studies.
• Prepare the process design basis.
• Develop piping and instrument diagrams.
• Prepare safe charts.
• Draft the process safeguarding diagram.
• Compile the operating philosophy and operating manual.
• Prepare equipment and instrument process data sheets.
• Create the equipment list and line list.
• Carry out flare radiation and dispersion calculations.
• Perform depressurization and flare network studies.
• Complete equipment and line sizing calculations.
• Prepare fluid lists.
• Maintain an organized document filing system for quick retrieval, in coordination with the Lead Process Engineer.
• Support the Lead Process Engineer during IDC.
• Work with drafting teams to progress drawing development.

Experience and technical requirements

Candidates should have strong process engineering capability, familiarity with oil and gas project environments, and practical experience with simulation tools, flare analysis, process documentation, and multidisciplinary project coordination.
