Role Summary

This position offers vital expertise in procurement and supplier management with emphasis on strategic sourcing and category management across hardware, software, and services. The role involves developing cost-effective methodologies to meet company goals and requires strong communication, organizational, and time-management capabilities while working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement innovative category strategies for hardware, software, and services procurement.
  • Perform thorough market analysis to identify trends and evaluate supplier capabilities to guide sourcing decisions.
  • Lead competitive bidding processes and negotiate contracts, including developing Statements of Work (SOWs) to optimize total cost of ownership.
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives via negotiation, value engineering, process improvement, demand management, and alternative sourcing approaches.
  • Manage supplier relationships by building strategic partnerships and enforcing vendor performance aligned with business goals.
  • Assess and mitigate supply chain risks like project delays, single-source dependencies, supplier financial stability, and regulatory compliance.
  • Engage and collaborate with internal teams such as sales, engineering, project management, product management, and legal to align procurement strategies with business needs.
  • Oversee the contract lifecycle from drafting and negotiation through execution ensuring compliance and proper record maintenance.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, ethical standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Prepare and analyze procurement reports and data to track performance and support strategic decisions.
  • Identify and implement improvements in procurement processes to increase efficiency.

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least two years of progressive experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, and category management; experience in contingent labor and software industries is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to source end-to-end services for large-scale technology deployments strategically.
  • A history of delivering significant cost reductions through strategic sourcing and negotiation techniques.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Knowledge of contract law and procurement industry best practices.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems such as Coupa or Oracle.
  • Capability to work independently while managing several projects simultaneously.
