Product Manager - Material Flow System

About the Role

Join Tesla as a Product Manager responsible for the Material Flow System, the core warehouse management and supply chain platform that supports material operations across Tesla's global facilities including factories, distribution hubs, and service centers. This position requires overseeing the product vision and roadmap, collaborating extensively with cross-disciplinary teams to implement comprehensive solutions that enhance inventory accuracy and optimize warehouse workflows at scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive improvements in processes, system capabilities, and data analysis essential for supporting growth in production volume and fleet size.
• Work closely with logistics, planning, warehousing teams, and other stakeholders to pinpoint critical system and process enhancements needed to achieve scalable and efficient end-to-end operations.
• Discover opportunities for simplification, optimization, and automation within supply chain workflows, software platforms, and systems.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, customers, and application engineering teams to design streamlined and effective product solutions that accommodate growth.
• Manage execution of the product roadmap, including business analysis, requirement gathering, design, planning, and quality assurance.
• Develop and implement communication and rollout plans for new features and changes, driving adoption among internal users and business leaders.
• Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational effectiveness and employ data-driven methods to evaluate product reliability and business priorities.
• Lead cross-functional problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing supply chain processes and internal products.
• Perform benchmarking and technical assessments to boost efficiency, scalability, reduce costs, and elevate customer satisfaction throughout processes, products, and systems.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Management Information Systems, Engineering Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of three years’ professional experience as a subject matter expert in Warehouse Management Systems with practical hands-on expertise.
• Proficient in quantitative problem-solving techniques including data analysis and SQL querying.
• Familiarity with process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma (certification optional), or Kaizen.
• Experience with Agile product development methodologies.
• Strong analytical capabilities with aptitude to analyze data, trends, and algorithms effectively to support sound decision-making.
• Proactive approach, comfortable working with incomplete information and ambiguity, with a demonstrated ability to initiate and lead new projects successfully.
• Excellent communication skills and proven ability to collaborate effectively across varied cross-functional teams, managing multiple priorities and building stakeholder consensus.
• Experience in implementing Artificial Intelligence solutions is considered advantageous.
