Role Overview

We are seeking an organized and eager Production Assistant to contribute to a streaming series production for Marvel Animation. This entry-level opportunity is ideal for anyone looking to begin their career in animation production, offering extensive exposure to various departments and the overall workflow of animation projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend daily meetings and department reviews, taking thorough and precise notes to ensure actionable follow-ups.
• Distribute meeting summaries promptly so all team members are aware of their assigned tasks.
• Support Production Coordinators by maintaining accurate production tracking in Flow Production Tracking software, updating shot status, assignments, and relevant production data.
• Organize and file digital assets, including reference artwork and client approvals, to maintain easy accessibility for artists.
• Assist various departments throughout different stages of the animation pipeline, gaining broad production insights.
• Serve as a friendly point of contact to artists, addressing basic scheduling queries and guiding them appropriately.
• Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and prepare review materials.
• Identify and implement small improvements to help Production Coordinators and Managers work more efficiently.
• Shadow experienced staff to learn department management and project communication strategies.

Requirements

• Experience: 0–1 year, suitable for recent graduates or administrative professionals transitioning to animation production.
• Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail and proficiency in spreadsheet management.
• Strong written and verbal communication capabilities, able to ask clarifying questions when needed.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive) and Microsoft Office tools.
• Legal eligibility to work in Canada is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of 2D or 3D animation pipelines.
• Prior experience with Flow Production Tracking (formerly ShotGrid) or RV software is beneficial but not required.

Compensation

The salary range lies between 50000 and 60000 Canadian dollars annually, competitive and dependent on your qualifications and experience.
