Role Overview

We are offering a rare chance to join Marley as the Production Manager at its manufacturing plant in Manurewa, Auckland. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, this leadership position oversees production operations encompassing Injection Moulding, Finishing, Crushing, and Frames within a facility operating 24 hours a day, 5 days a week. The role emphasizes safety leadership, quality assurance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coach and develop production teams to enhance engagement, skills, and output.

  • Lead continuous improvement projects applying Lean manufacturing methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 quality management standards.
  • Track and enhance critical operational key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Manage automation, process optimization, and strategic investment initiatives.
  • Collaborate with various departments to achieve organizational goals.
  • Oversee budgeting and promote financially responsible decisions.

Candidate Profile

  • Possess 5 to 10 years of experience in a Production Manager or similar manufacturing leadership role.
  • Experience managing medium to large-scale manufacturing settings such as plastics, building materials, FMCG, steel, or heavy industrial sectors.
