About the Role

We are currently looking for an accomplished Program Management Contractor to spearhead cross-functional developmental efforts for an advanced in vivo gene editing initiative, spanning from pre-IND stages to early clinical phases and beyond. This position involves the creation and oversight of integrated program timelines, budgets, and critical pathways, ensuring synchronization across Clinical, Regulatory, Nonclinical, CMC, and Data Management departments.

This hybrid role is based in the Greater Boston area, requiring at least one day per week onsite presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide execution of cross-disciplinary program plans from pre-IND through Phase I/II clinical development.
  • Establish and update comprehensive project schedules, milestones, budget forecasts, and critical path assessments.
  • Facilitate collaboration and coordination across Clinical, Regulatory, Nonclinical, CMC, and Data Management teams.
  • Monitor program progress diligently, manage risks proactively, and develop mitigation plans.
  • Ensure cohesive cross-functional alignment and assist in governance and leadership evaluations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or a related domain, with an MBA or advanced degree considered a plus.
  • 6 to 8 years experience within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical sectors, including 2 to 4 years dedicated to program management supporting early clinical development phases.
  • Demonstrated success in managing cross-functional teams within matrix organizational structures.
  • Thorough understanding of preclinical development processes, IND-enabling activities, and clinical trial operations.
  • Prior involvement with gene therapy or gene editing projects is highly desirable.
