Overview
This is a permanent full-time opportunity based in Toronto, Ontario. The role sits within the technology organization and supports the delivery of infrastructure initiatives that help improve business performance and customer outcomes. You will work in a modern, agile environment alongside technical specialists, senior sponsors, and business partners.
Reporting to the Manager, Project Delivery for Information Security Technology and Risk, the position focuses on coordinating project planning and execution so that work is completed on time, within scope, and aligned to business goals. It is a strong fit for someone looking to build a long-term career in project management while gaining hands-on experience in infrastructure and technology programs.
What you'll do
- Help plan, execute, monitor, and close infrastructure-focused projects and related initiatives.
- Contribute to project plans, timelines, budgets, progress updates, and supporting documentation.
- Organize project meetings, record minutes, maintain action logs, and follow up on commitments.
- Partner with team members and stakeholders to keep project tasks moving and deadlines on track.
- Track project status and escalate risks, issues, or change requests to senior project leaders when needed.
- Assist with coordinating resources and scheduling across project workstreams.
- Keep governance materials current and ensure work follows established project controls and standards.
- Monitor budgets, schedules, risks, and interdependencies across active projects.
- Build productive relationships with both business and technology stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement efforts within the Project Management Office.
What you bring
- 3 to 5 years of experience helping coordinate or support technology or infrastructure projects.
- A solid grasp of project management concepts, common delivery methods, and project tools.
- Exposure to Agile, Waterfall, or mixed delivery models.
- Strong organization skills and the ability to juggle several priorities and deadlines at once.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and comfort maintaining accurate project records.
- Experience working well with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Basic knowledge of budgeting, scheduling, risk tracking, and reporting.
- Comfort using Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Project or similar software.
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Project Management, Information Technology, or a related area, or equivalent practical experience.
- CAPM certification or progress toward PMP is an advantage.
- Experience with Clarity or comparable project portfolio management tools is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Willingness to learn and grow in project management.
- Customer-first mindset and adaptability in a fast-moving environment.
- Good time management and planning skills.
Compensation
The base pay for this role is CAD 72,500 to CAD 92,500 per year. This amount reflects base salary only and does not include other variable pay components such as annual bonus or commission. Additional details about total rewards can be discussed with a recruiter during the hiring process.
