Project Manager Data & Analytics

Overview

This is an 18-month fixed-term contract opportunity for a Project Manager specializing in Data & Analytics (D&A) at Primark, located in Dublin. At Primark, people are central to everything we do. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the complete lifecycle delivery of D&A technology initiatives, including data products, platform upgrades, system integrations, and analytics solutions aligned with strategic objectives.
• Manage multimillion-pound project budgets ranging from £2 million to £6 million, ensuring precise forecasting, cost control, and addressing budget variances promptly.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project plans detailing scope, deliverables, schedules, risks, issues, dependencies, and resource allocation, adhering strictly to Primark's governance and technical standards.
• Guide and inspire cross-functional teams by clarifying responsibilities, ensuring quality deliverables, and fostering strong collaboration among business units, technology teams, and suppliers.
• Provide ongoing reports to stakeholders summarizing progress, risks, mitigation strategies, and insights to aid decision-making and sustain project momentum.
• Oversee relationships with external vendors and internal stakeholders, negotiate contracts, monitor performance KPIs, track benefits realization, and mentor team members to support their career development.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• A minimum of 5 years experience leading complex technology projects, especially within Data & Analytics, managing defined scope, budgets, schedules, and quality benchmarks with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Deep expertise in Data & Analytics domains including data platforms, migrations, data modeling, governance, and analytics with practical knowledge of cloud technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake, and Power BI.
• Strong understanding of data architecture, operational models, and retail data domains like product, customer, inventory, pricing, and forecasting to effectively drive technology solutions.
• Proven capability to work across Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project management approaches, facilitating governance, sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and acceptance criteria definition for data products.
• Experienced in managing concurrent workstreams and nurturing relationships with senior stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams within complex matrix organizations.
• Experience leading high-impact programs in a major retail environment with exposure to senior leadership and involvement in a collaborative culture that prioritizes delivery excellence.
