Role Overview
Avenue E-Commerce Limited (AEL), the online arm of Avenue Supermarts Limited and the team behind DMart Ready, is looking for a Purchase Assistant for its Powai location in Mumbai. DMart Ready serves as a shopping platform for groceries and other everyday household essentials, with a focus on value pricing and a broad assortment that includes food items, toiletries, beauty and personal care products, garments, kitchenware, bedding and bath products, home appliances, and more. The company currently operates in Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, and Bangalore.
Key Responsibilities
- Create purchase orders in SAP according to the relevant class/process.
- Monitor orders and make sure deliveries happen within the expected timeline.
- Keep internal records updated with order information such as dates, vendor names, quantities, and discounts.
- Review vendor quotations, compare offers, and negotiate for better pricing.
- Maintain accurate files for invoices and contracts.
- Coordinate with suppliers to confirm orders or make changes when required.
- Work with warehouse teams to ensure products are received in good condition.
- Use purchasing tools and systems such as SAP, ERP, or Tally; prior hands-on experience is preferred but not compulsory.
- Work efficiently in MS Excel, especially with functions and tools such as VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, and Pivot Tables.
