Job Overview

We seek a seasoned Purchaser with expertise in civil procurement to join our team based in Dubai. This role offers a significant opportunity for professionals experienced in the UAE construction industry, specifically those skilled in sourcing civil and finishing materials for high-rise construction projects.

Key Duties

• Oversee the complete procurement process for civil, structural, and finishing materials.
• Ensure all procured materials conform to project specifications, have necessary approvals, and meet consultant requirements.
• Conduct thorough technical and commercial assessments of suppliers and subcontractors.
• Negotiate optimal pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules aligned with project deadlines.
• Collaborate closely with project management, planning, engineering, and logistics teams.
• Maintain robust supplier relationships and manage the Approved Vendor List (AVL).
• Issue Local Purchase Orders (LPOs), monitor purchase orders, and keep accurate procurement documentation, preferably using Oracle ERP.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Supply Chain Management.
• Between 5 and 7 years of procurement experience within the UAE construction sector.
• Demonstrated experience with high-rise, residential, or mixed-use building projects.
• Comprehensive knowledge of UAE suppliers, vendors, and market trends.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, especially Oracle.
• Sound understanding of commercial and contractual principles; familiarity with FIDIC contracts is a plus.

• Experience working on residential towers, mixed-use developments, and podium plus tower projects.
• Acquaintance with fast-track construction project environments.
• Strong skills in negotiation, coordination, and supplier relationship management.
• Capability to operate effectively within a deadline-driven environment for main contractors.
