Quantity Surveyor

About the Role

We seek a meticulous Quantity Surveyor specializing in Civil Engineering to handle quantity calculations, cost estimations, preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQ), billing procedures, cost monitoring, and managing contractual documents tied to construction projects. The role involves close collaboration with project managers, site engineers, consultants, and clients to ensure projects meet budget requirements, maintain quality standards, and adhere to contract conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Extract quantities from architectural and structural drawings.
• Create comprehensive Bills of Quantities for various construction assignments.
• Develop detailed budgets and cost estimates.
• Perform rate analysis related to civil engineering works.
• Prepare billing documentation both for contractors and clients.
• Validate on-site executed quantities for accuracy.
• Draft measurement sheets and reconcile quantities.
• Track project expenditures and monitor budget utilization.
• Generate documentation for variations and change orders.
• Assist in preparing tender documents and evaluating bids.
• Analyze subcontractor quotations and coordinate work orders.
• Maintain records of project costs and payment documentation.
• Collaborate regularly with site engineers, project managers, and consultants.
• Produce monthly progress and cost reports.
• Support procurement through preparation of material quantity requirements.
• Ensure all activities comply with contract terms and project specifications.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering (B.E/B.Tech or Diploma).
• 0 to 5 years of experience in quantity surveying or within construction project environments.
• Fresh graduates with practical hands-on knowledge in quantity surveying are welcome to apply.
• Proficient in quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, estimation, costing, billing, rate analysis, and material reconciliation.
• Experience in cost control, tender documentation, contract administration, and managing variations or claims.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and apply measurement standards effectively.
• Skilled in MS Excel and MS Office usage.
• Strong analytical capabilities and excellent communication skills.

Preferred Credentials

Applicants who have undergone certification or practical training in Quantity Surveying from notable institutions such as NICMAR, BHADANIS QS Institute, IIT, or similar organizations are preferred.

Compensation and Location

The position offers a monthly remuneration ranging from INR 25,000 to 63,000. The job is based in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India, and requires onsite attendance.
