About the Role
As the Sales Development Director at Adherent, you will lead and oversee the sales development team and processes, driving robust pipeline growth through strategic lead generation aligned with our company’s expansion goals in the SaaS sector. Reporting to the President, this function is pivotal in establishing a strong base of prospective clients to fuel business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales development strategies that boost lead generation and expand the sales funnel in sync with overall sales and marketing plans.
- Guide, mentor, and inspire a high-performing sales development team, providing ongoing coaching, training, and feedback to drive success and professional development.
- Manage and assess SDR team performance metrics such as forecasting, pipeline health, revenue generation, and activity to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Work closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to unify strategies and messaging, sharing market insights and client feedback to refine offerings.
- Continuously monitor progress, analyze performance data, and optimize lead generation methods by leveraging industry research and analytics to identify high-value markets.
- Streamline sales development workflows and best practices to increase efficiency in customer engagement, qualification, and market expansion.
- Implement and utilize tools and technologies that enhance team communication and operational effectiveness.
- Deliver regular reports on lead generation and pipeline status to senior management, providing strategic recommendations based on data analysis.
Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline; Master’s degree is preferred.
- Over 10 years of enterprise sales development, lead generation, or business development experience, with a minimum of 4 years leading global SDR teams in B2B SaaS technology, preferably within product-led growth or hybrid models.
- Demonstrated success in building and managing top-tier sales development teams and consistently surpassing lead generation goals.
- In-depth knowledge of high-velocity and enterprise SaaS sales environments.
- Expertise in defining scalable processes and creating actionable playbooks suited for fast-growing companies.
- Experience managing inbound and outbound sales development responsibilities, with emphasis on cultivating team culture, operational excellence, and results.
- Strong collaborative skills to align teams during change, combined with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Proficient use of CRM platforms such as Salesforce and HubSpot, and sales enablement tools including Salesloft, Lemlist, and Vidyard.
- A passion for technological innovation and creative problem-solving to craft solutions that align with business needs.
- Ability to adapt effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced setting managing multiple priorities.
