Security Engineering Expert

About the Role

We are in search of a distinguished Security Engineering Expert to spearhead our enterprise cybersecurity advancements and shape the future of secure cloud infrastructure. As the lead technical authority in Security Engineering, this role will oversee security architecture development, set security benchmarks, and manage strategic projects covering cloud, DevSecOps, Identity & Access Management, Kubernetes, and Zero Trust frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce the enterprise cloud security architecture and strategy specifically for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Lead initiatives for cloud-native security transformations across corporate platforms.
• Implement secure DevSecOps methodologies and define enterprise CI/CD security policies.
• Design and apply Zero Trust models, IAM frameworks, and secrets management procedures.
• Create secure Kubernetes and container security architecture.
• Promote security automation, threat modeling, and cloud-native security engineering practices.
• Collaborate with engineering, platform, and product divisions to integrate security at every stage of software development.
• Provide mentorship to senior engineers and deliver technical guidance organization-wide.

Required Expertise

• 7 to 10 years of advanced experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Strong background in Kubernetes security and cloud-native security concepts.
• Proficiency in GitLab DevSecOps processes.
• Experience with Keycloak IAM and HashiCorp Vault.
• Hands-on skills with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and Pulumi.
• Knowledge of Palo Alto Next Generation Firewall (NGFW), F5 BIG-IP, and Web Application Firewall (WAF) management.
• Implementation of Zero Trust security architecture.
• Expertise in service mesh security and Cloud-Native Security Posture Management (CSPM).
• Experience in threat modeling and security automation.

Preferred Technologies and Certifications

• Familiarity with CNCF security tools like Istio, Envoy, Falco, Open Policy Agent (OPA), and Kubernetes security controls.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, GIAC Cloud Security, OCI Security Professional, PCNSE, CKS, CKA, HashiCorp Vault Associate, Terraform Associate, and advanced security certifications for Azure or AWS are advantageous.
