Senior Electrical Engineer - Design

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer specializing in design to lead and oversee electrical engineering projects in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role involves managing the design process from initial concept through detailed planning, ensuring adherence to industry standards while delivering innovative, client-focused solutions.

Primary Responsibilities

• Guide the electrical design efforts for multiple engineering projects, covering construction and infrastructure sectors.
• Lead and mentor the design team by assigning clear tasks, monitoring performance, and providing constructive feedback.
• Contribute actively to department development and action plans.
• Coordinate with clients, project managers, and multi-disciplinary teams to maintain design integrity and project compliance.
• Generate and refine project concepts and detailed designs to meet client specifications.
• Gather necessary data for presentations, technical drawings, and documentation.
• Review tenders and plan design activities accordingly.
• Prepare departmental reports, progress schedules, meeting minutes, and handle project correspondence.
• Ensure design solutions comply with cost, safety, and timeline constraints, incorporating value engineering to optimize quality and efficiency.
• Resolve financial matters related to projects in collaboration with project managers and finance teams.
• Provide technical support and guidance to enhance team productivity and output quality.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and official registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers.
• 8 to 12 years of proven experience in electrical design for construction and infrastructure projects, with strong expertise in building design.
• Solid understanding of the Saudi Building Code and international engineering standards.
• Proficient in using REVIT software.
• Preferred experience includes large-scale infrastructure or industrial projects and familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM).
• Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of Arabic is advantageous.
