Job Overview
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for leading the planning, design, procurement, and implementation of modifications to manufacturing equipment and systems. This role involves overseeing and guiding teams to ensure manufacturing processes meet safety, business, and product requirements. The engineer leverages manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance equipment and processes in alignment with organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead projects creating and executing manufacturing processes that satisfy safety rules, manufacturing objectives, business priorities, and product specs.
- Apply manufacturing expertise to improve equipment and processes, guiding the establishment of standards and methods.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders, influencing business leaders and cross-functional members.
- Manage collaborations with internal and external resources on assigned projects.
- Coach and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.

- Design ergonomic processes and workstations following company guidelines to reduce risks and improve operator comfort.
- Apply systematic problem-solving approaches to identify root causes, implement data-driven solutions, and prevent recurrence.
- Create safe, healthy, ergonomic operator workstations considering cost, quality, and delivery.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or related STEM fields, or equivalent experience.
- Intermediate professional experience spanning 5 to 10+ years in related manufacturing engineering roles.
- Relevant licensing may be necessary to comply with export control and sanctions regulations.
Technical Skills and Tools
- Support and execute Manufacturing Execution Systems (CMES) including level 2 support for global manufacturing plants.
- Experience with Apriso (Delmia platform) and SQL querying, with strong overall IT skills.
- Provide consultation on CMES and control systems integration, including fit-gap analysis, design review, development support, testing, and documentation.
- Support manufacturing sites on system implementation and troubleshooting while understanding assembly and machining processes.
- Assist users with CMES workarounds and downtime management.
- Execute functional and regression testing during CMES upgrades and document findings.
- Deliver training and produce documentation for CMES configuration.
- Knowledge of automation controls (PLC, Siemens/Rockwell) and Delmia 3D Experience is advantageous.
Additional Information
- Role is fully on-site at the Pune Division in Maharashtra, India.
- Position requires a blend of manufacturing engineering (60%), controls engineering (20%), and IT skills (20%).
- Role category is exempt and experienced professional level with no relocation package offered.
