About the Role
Become a part of Velinsa's product engineering teams as a Software Engineering Intern, contributing to meaningful projects that impact users. Work closely with seasoned engineers to learn and apply contemporary software development methods.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate directly with engineers to develop features for both web interfaces and APIs.
- Engage actively in agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, product demos, and retrospectives to grasp team delivery processes.
- Produce code that is maintainable and well-documented, incorporating best practices in testing and system observability under mentorship.
- Assist in preliminary technical research such as exploratory spikes and creating proof-of-concept implementations.
Candidate Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a computer science program or a related discipline.
- Proficient or familiar with at least one modern programming language, such as JavaScript or Python.
- Possess a curious attitude, eager to learn through inquiry and constructive feedback.
- Able and willing to collaborate effectively in a remote or New York City-based team environment.
