Role Summary

The Servicing Analytics team supports operational decision-making through advanced analytics. As a Staff Data Analyst, you will play a pivotal role by collaborating with product, operations, engineering, and machine learning teams to deliver actionable insights, optimize recovery and collection strategies, and develop robust data infrastructure. Your leadership in business reviews, experiment design, and operational efficiency will be critical to Upstart’s servicing success.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct development of analytics capabilities that enhance servicing efforts and improve operational workflows.
• Generate and present executive-level reports conveying insights and strategic guidance.
• Design and analyze experiments such as A/B tests to assess user behaviors and servicing approaches.
• Collaborate intensively with analytics engineering and software development teams to strengthen data systems and accessibility.
• Build and sustain business intelligence tools to improve decision-making efficiency.
• Provide mentorship and leadership to junior analysts, cultivating a culture centered on analytical rigor and innovation.
• Work cross-functionally to identify and implement process improvements and strategic opportunities.

Qualifications

• Over 8 years of progressive experience in senior analytical roles within technology and finance sectors.
• Expertise in analytics related to payments, product management, or operational functions.
• Proficient in SQL, Python, and/or R programming languages for data manipulation and analysis.
• Experienced in handling large datasets, data modeling, and pipeline creation using platforms such as Databricks, DBT, Looker, Snowflake, Redshift, Tableau, and Mode.
• Academic background in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Data Science, or related quantitative disciplines.
• Demonstrated ability to extrapolate meaningful insights from complex data and communicate them clearly to diverse audiences.
