About the Role
Our client based in Hemel Hempstead is seeking an experienced and detail-focused Supply Planner to manage all aspects of their supply chain operations. This hybrid role requires approximately two days of remote work weekly and operates Monday through Friday from 08:30 to 17:00, with potential weekend shifts on a rotational basis (one weekend in four).
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage the annual inbound supply plan to guarantee a smooth and efficient stock flow throughout the year.
- Ensure precise allocation of items to support sales objectives and maintain product availability.
- Maintain optimal stock levels across the network, overseeing all item management including clean-up activities.
- Perform root cause analyses, handle escalations, and resolve supply issues by engaging all relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate the transition of items to minimize any supply disruptions.
- Plan, oversee, and execute crucial promotional activities such as product launches and peak period events, collaborating with all key participants.
- Organize and lead periodic review meetings with both internal teams and external partners to sustain alignment.
- Develop and nurture strong customer relationships to facilitate timely and precise communication.
- Work closely with Operations to schedule inbound deliveries and oversee distribution efforts efficiently while adhering to budget constraints.
- Adjust plans in response to forecast modifications and ensure continuous communication internally.
- Discover and implement opportunities for enhancing end-to-end category management.
Qualifications and Experience
- Exhibit a positive, proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrate excellent teamwork capabilities with outstanding communication and collaboration proficiency.
- Have proven experience managing comprehensive supply chain operations.
- Background in FMCG, Retail, or Food/Hospitality sectors.
- Showcase process-driven thinking with experience leading change initiatives and continuous improvement.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to identify challenges and drive effective solutions.
