Position Details

Title: Teaching Assistant
Program: Information Systems (Fall 2026)

Key Responsibilities

• Assist multiple instructors with courses related to information systems.
• Work jointly with instructors to prepare course content.
• Manage technical requirements such as software uploading, installation, configuration, student account maintenance, and server administration.
• Lead recitation sessions and provide lab and lecture support.
• Evaluate student assignments based on instructor-supplied rubrics or answer keys.
• Supervise examination processes.
• Hold regular office hours for student support.
• Facilitate and moderate discussions and organize course materials on Canvas.
• Help plan and implement educational outreach activities.
• Undertake additional duties assigned by the Information Systems Area Head or delegates.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or a related discipline is mandatory; a Master's degree is advantageous but not required.
• Strong technical proficiency, particularly in programming.
• Proven experience guiding students, especially in technical projects.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Applicants must currently reside in Qatar.
• Solid knowledge in application development, databases, web development, and IT project management.
• Programming skills in Python and R are highly preferred.

Employment Terms

This full-time entry-level position starts on August 15, 2026, and concludes on June 30, 2027. The role offers close supervision and the opportunity to work within an academic setting.
