Role Overview

The Utilities Operator, also known as Hospital Services Operator, plays a critical role in the Munster Regional Transfusion Centre's Despatch Department in Cork. This full-time position involves the selection and issuing of blood and medicinal products, maintenance and cleaning of the despatch area, stock management, and ensuring operational compliance with quality and safety standards.

Working Hours and Shift Pattern

  • The department operates 24/7 on a shift basis.
  • Shifts alternate over a two-week cycle, consisting of 7 consecutive night shifts followed by 7 nights off.
