Position Overview
The Asset Protection Associate is responsible for fostering a safe and secure environment for customers, employees, visitors, and vendors through professional conduct and proactive security measures. This role aims to enhance store profitability by reducing losses from theft and damage.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular security patrols to ensure all entrances, doors, and display cases are properly secured and functioning.
- Exercise authority to perform external arrests when required.
- Investigate incidents of both financial and physical shrinkage; report findings to Store Leadership and consult with the Market Loss Prevention Manager for internal cases.
- Assist in executing store evacuation plans during emergencies such as fires.
- Participate actively in designated store task teams as assigned.
- Conduct or support comprehensive investigations involving internal theft, dishonesty, organized retail crime, or other assigned cases, following company policies and timelines.
- Effectively communicate collected information from various sources, clarifying matters for relevant stakeholders and presenting multiple perspectives.
- Adapt to additional responsibilities as the company’s needs evolve.
Compensation
The starting hourly wage is $17.75 CAD.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Possess a valid Security Guard License.
