Attendant - Door

About the Role

Join St. Regis Hotels & Resorts as a Door Attendant based in West Bay, Doha, Qatar. As a member of our hospitality team, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and providing assistance throughout their stay to uphold our brand's reputation for impeccable service.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests and accompany them to their rooms, opening doors and assisting those entering or leaving the property.
• Communicate to guests information on hotel amenities, services, operational hours, and local points of interest and activities.
• Explain key features of guest rooms such as room keys, minibar usage, ice machines, vending machines, in-room safes, and laundry services.
• Handle guest luggage by transporting it to and from rooms or designated areas, as well as storing and retrieving luggage when needed.
• Assist guests and visitors with entering and exiting vehicles, including loading and unloading their baggage.
• Provide guests with directions to various destinations and coordinate transportation requests like taxis or shuttles, documenting advance transport needs accordingly.
• Inform guests regarding parking procedures and requirements.
• Comply with all company safety policies and procedures, report maintenance or safety hazards promptly, and complete relevant safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a neat and professional appearance and uniform at all times.
• Protect the confidentiality of company information and safeguard its property.
• Support colleagues by fostering a respectful and dignified work environment and contribute towards team goals.
• Perform physical tasks including moving, lifting, transporting, pushing, pulling, or placing objects up to 50 pounds unaided, and assisting with heavier items exceeding 75 pounds.
• Remain on your feet, walking or sitting for extended periods during shifts and move at speeds required by work situations, including running if necessary.
• Engage in routine physical activities such as reaching overhead, bending, twisting, crawling, climbing stairs or ramps, and navigating uneven or slippery surfaces.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests in accordance with company standards and use clear, professional language in person and on the phone.
• Stay vigilant to identify any undesirable persons on the property and perform any additional reasonable duties asked by supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or an equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
• Experience: No prior relevant work experience required; supervisory experience not mandatory.
• Licenses/Certifications: None required.
