About the Role
An opening exists for an Automation Engineer based in Doha, Qatar, responsible for delivering assigned instrumentation and control system projects within industrial settings, especially petrochemical plants. This role requires executing engineering tasks aligned with project plans and quality benchmarks while ensuring adherence to safety standards.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Systems Engineering, or a related engineering field.
- A minimum of 7 years of relevant engineering experience, including exposure to project and contractor management.
Technical Expertise
- Knowledge of Instrumentation & Control engineering and related industrial control systems.
- Project management competencies and familiarity with petrochemical plant operations and products.
- Competence in health, safety, and security management.
- Strong conceptual, analytical, and inventory management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all facets of assigned Instrument & Control system engineering projects, ensuring effective execution per defined plans and standards.
- Adhere to company policies and industry best practices, proactively resolving technical queries and challenges.
- Determine appropriate work methodologies following specialized policies and professional norms.
- Supervise and manage contractor teams to meet unit objectives in compliance with HSE and quality standards.
- Work mostly independently or collaboratively on integrated projects, investigations, audits, or reviews.
- Plan, monitor, and coordinate engineering designs and review project scopes to ensure they meet specifications and budget constraints.
- Conduct technical evaluations and reviews, recommending and implementing solutions or modifications as necessary.
