Business Analyst

About the Role

Become part of a progressive company investing significantly in modernizing its primary business platform. This role offers the chance to collaborate with product leaders, business teams, and software developers to ensure that technological solutions effectively support business operations. You will act as a trusted consultant throughout the development process, shaping solutions that meet practical business requirements while enhancing quality, user-friendliness, and adoption.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide deep expertise on dealership processes and workflows to ensure new technology aligns with real operational practices.
• Translate operational challenges into clear business objectives and identify areas for increased efficiency, usability, and value.
• Review and refine business requirements, ensuring they are comprehensive and aligned before development commences.
• Facilitate consensus among diverse stakeholders through workshops and discussions, managing risks and dependencies effectively.
• Assess proposed workflows, design concepts, and user experiences to maintain high standards throughout the product lifecycle.
• Participate in acceptance validation and contribute to continuous product improvement.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Experience of 5 or more years in automotive, powersports, or similar dealership settings, especially with Dealer Management Systems (DMS).
• Strong familiarity with core dealership operations including sales, service, inventory management, parts, customer management, financial processes, and reporting.
• Proficient at analyzing business processes, documenting requirements, and identifying operational risks and gaps with practical remediation strategies.
• Experience collaborating in Agile or iterative product development environments, with knowledge of user stories, feature planning, and acceptance criteria.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, capable of working independently and influencing without formal authority.
• Comfortable with common business and collaboration software tools.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

• Background in powersports, marine, RV, agriculture, construction, or equipment dealerships.
• Experience in software modernization, digital transformation, SaaS or cloud-based business applications.
• Exposure to distributed or external development teams and understanding of system integrations, APIs, data migration, and database concepts.
• Interest in emerging technologies, including AI-enhanced productivity tools.
