About the Role
Carolina Neurosurgery & Spine Associates (CNSA) together with PracticeCore is looking for a highly analytical and driven Business Intelligence Analyst to convert complex healthcare datasets into actionable insights that aid strategic decision-making across both organizations. The analyst will create dashboards, assess operational and financial performance, and uncover opportunities to enhance patient care, operational efficiency, and revenue cycle results.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and manage dynamic dashboards and reports utilizing Epic EMR, practice management, and financial data sources.
- Analyze provider productivity, patient access, scheduling patterns, surgical volumes, and other critical operational metrics.
- Provide data analysis support to executive leadership for board meetings, strategic projects, and organizational performance updates.
- Perform capacity planning and utilization assessments aiding provider recruitment and practice growth efforts.
- Conduct revenue cycle analytics including denial pattern evaluation, accounts receivable, collections, and client performance reporting specifically for PracticeCore.
- Assess market trends, referral behaviors, and competitive intelligence to support expansion strategies.
- Develop financial models, return on investment analyses, and business cases to underpin strategic initiatives.
- Ensure integrity, accuracy, and HIPAA-compliant handling of all data and reports adhering to governance policies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with clinical, operational, financial, and IT teams to deliver valuable business insights.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Statistics, Health Informatics, Finance, Business, or a related discipline (Master's degree preferred).
- 2 to 5+ years of professional experience in analytics, ideally within healthcare or physician practice settings.
- Familiarity with Epic reporting platforms such as Reporting Workbench, Clarity, and SlicerDicer strongly preferred.
- Proficient in data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel; SQL knowledge considered an advantage.
- Understanding of healthcare operations, provider productivity metrics, and revenue cycle processes is favorable.
- Exceptional analytical thinking, problem-solving capabilities, and effective communication skills capable of conveying complex information to non-technical audiences.
